  8. Someone asked for fruit soup recipes.  This one, a delicious
  9. and refreshing cold soup (or summer drink) is a must for all
  10. strawberry lovers.  It is from my high school English teacher.

  12.                Swiss Strawberry Soup

  14. Ingredients:

  16.                  2 pints fresh strawberries
  17.  
  18.             -    1 cup orange juice
  19.   Set 1:  -|     1 1/2 t. quick cooking tapioca
  20.            |     1/8 t. cinnamon
  21.             -    1/8 t. allspice
  22.  
  23.             -    1 cup buttermilk
  24.   Set 2:  -|     1/2 cup sugar
  25.            |     1 T. lemon juice
  26.            |_    1 t. grated orange or lemon rind

  30.         Wash and hull berries.  Puree.  Add set 1 and stir.
  31. Pour into casserole dish and microwave 5-6 min. Stir in set 2.
  32. Chill, covered.

  34. Variation:  For a great summer drink, do as above, then liquefy
  35. in blender.
